Curtis Stone is a chef, restaurateur, author, media personality, and businessman. Curtis began cooking at the Savoy Hotel’s 5-star restaurant, in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia, at the age of 18. Three years later he moved to Europe, where he was classically trained and worked his way up the ranks under renowned chef Marco Pierre White for eight years at The Grill Room at Café Royal, Mirabelle, and Quo Vadis. In February 2014, Curtis opened his first solo restaurant, Maude (Beverly Hills, CA), with the lofty ambition of offering a 10-course monthly tasting menu inspired by, and created around, one seasonal ingredient. Maude’s innovative menu and intimate experience has garnered it accolades from the James Beard Foundation, TIME magazine, Travel & Leisure, Eater LA, LA Weekly, LA Magazine, Angeleno, and more. Curtis partnered with his brother Luke to open his second restaurant in July 2016: Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant (Hollywood, CA). A world-class butcher and fine-dining restaurant, Gwen brings together the craft of the butcher and the knowledge of the chef in an exquisitely elegant environment.

Curtis’ media career began in 2002 while he was Head Chef at Quo Vadis. He was included as one of London’s finest chefs in the book, London on a Plate, for which he made his first television appearances. This exposure sparked his television and media career in the UK, Australia and the United States. He has appeared on a number of top rated programs including Take Home Chef (TLC), Celebrity Apprentice (ABC), Top Chef Masters (Bravo) and most recently as a mentor on Food Network’s All-Star Academy. Curtis is the co-host of My Kitchen Rules on FOX, which launched in the US in January 2017 after having been the No. 1 entertainment show in Australia for five consecutive years. Curtis is a New York Times bestselling author with six cookbooks, his most recent titled Good Food, Good Life, and is a regular contributor to several magazines and television shows in the United States and Australia.

Curtis serves as CEO of Stone’s Food Inc., his culinary-focused consulting, content, and partnership company.  In 2007, Curtis developed Kitchen Solutions, a line of sleek and functional cookware, which is available at HSN in the US and The Shopping Channel in Canada.

Giving back is also a top priority for Curtis, who has fostered long-term relationships with charities around the world, including Feeding America in the US, as well as Cottage by the Sea and SecondBite in Australia. In 2016, Curtis began a new pledge to give back: #Commit2One, which means that each year he partners with an organization that is important to him and focuses the majority of his charitable time and resources to the cause. His 2016 partner was the National Young Farmers Coalition, raising funds and awareness for America’s need for #MoreFarmers and the challenges that are keeping farmers from entering the field. His 2017 partner is the Chrysalis, a local Los Angeles organization that works to change the lives of homeless individuals through employment. Curtis has worked with the organization over the last several years, employing a number of their members.

Curtis is married to actress Lindsay Price and the couple live in Los Angeles with their two sons.
